Open to all veterans of HMS Hermes and their families for a small annual membership fee. The Association was formed to serve veterans of Hermes 9 and has now evolved to include all veterans and families of Hermes 9 and 10

When asked to part with money no matter how much many people want to know what is in it for them, and quite rightly so
As a member of The Hermes Association you get access to a newsletter letting you know what other members are up to, what events are being held and how to sign up to them and a host of other information not released to none members.
We hold an annual reunion over a weekend in a different area of the UK each year to give the opportunity to members to attend who maybe can't travel as far to one fixed venue. Unfortunately Plymouth was the chosen site for 2021 but had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions with Portsmouth in 2022 and Plymouth in 2023. Members can book for all days or any combination of those days, or even just join us for the gala dinner.
Occasionally the Association members will get invited to special events and open invites are sent out. Some of these invites are on a first come first served basis. One very memorable occasion was to Mumbai for the decommissioning ceremonies held over 4 days for INS Viraat with full access to the ship. Other events include a visit to HMS Sultan and to join our annual HMS Hermes Association platoon on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph.
Membership fees are audited and we often donate to Hermes related good causes.
