Reunion 2022
Each year we pick a place we know members will enjoy and we arrange memorable venues for day trips and evening entertainment.
Our reunions are held each year in April on the nearest weekend to the date of the anniversary of when Hermes 9 was sunk in respect of those that were lost in 1942. Unfortunately the planned reunion in April 2021 in Plymouth was cancelled due to covid restrictions. we plan for Portsmouth in 2022.

Hermes Association Reunion & AGM Weekend - 8th-10th April 2022
We hope you are all well and have had a good summer.
We are pleased to give you the details of the HMS Hermes Association Reunion & AGM weekend which will take place in Portsmouth on 8th-10th April 2022.
2022 is a special year for us all. We will be celebrating 35 years of the association as well as commemorating the sinking of Hermes 9 and the 40th anniversary of Hermes 10 involvement during the Falkland Islands conflict. We hope to have as many people as possible attend our reunion weekend and make it one to remember, especially being that we have had to postpone the last two reunions due to the pandemic.
Next year’s reunion weekend has been organised a little differently. We have not used an events company to plan the weekend, predominately due to the unfortunate news that Isle of Wight Tours as it was, closed its doors last year but also due to Portsmouth being a more challenging location in terms of choice of venue that can accommodate groups of our size. But this has meant that the cost has been kept as low as possible.

The main difference in the planning is that you will be booking and paying for your accommodation directly with the hotel but booking and paying for the Gala Dinner and other activities with the association. Any other costs are paid locally if applicable and are detailed on the booking form.
Booking Instructions To make a booking for the reunion weekend please follow the instructions below:
- Please call the Royal Maritime Club & Hotel directly to book your accommodation, quoting the reference GA000090. The association has rooms held for Friday and Saturday evening but additional nights either side may also be booked. Please note that no payment is taken until you check in to the property and room cancellations are 24 hours before arrival.
- Please complete the booking form attached to confirm your place for the *Gala Dinner, Saturday afternoon trip to the historic dockyard, Sunday church service & wreath laying and Sunday buffet lunch. This can be emailed to happyhermes@btinternet.com or posted to Mark Smith 13 Newtown Road, Hove, BN3 6AA.
- Please make payment to the association for the Gala Dinner booking - instructions are on the booking form. *Please note that to attend the Gala Dinner on 9th April and other activities, you must complete and send the booking form to us to confirm your places. These activities cannot be confirmed with the hotel.
